Wonder Woman

Once upon a time, Diana Grimes was convinced her mother Nancy was a martial arts brown belt. Year after year, she'd tell the story. (For those who knew Nancy this must have been difficult to believe, as she didn't seem that martial herself.) Now it is true that Nancy had been known to date trained killers like Greg and that college student who looked like Tyrone Power and was helping the FBI. As fate would have it, Diana brought up the topic with her mother only to learn much to her dismay that Nancy had taken a single self-defense class in college. She was not a brown belt after all. Diana still marvels at the fact that her mother is not Master Shifu.

However, Nancy has been know to do her own type of jujitsu. Like the time a very territorial chow named Snowy Jr. growled at her menacingly, while Nancy kept happily talking with the Shinde family seemly oblivious to his presence. Suddenly, she reached down and affectionately pat Snowy on the head without disrupting the flow of the conversation in the least. This totally psyched out the poor dog, who was all bark and no bite.

Greg would often say that Nancy was "the first line of defense" in their home because he was such a sound sleeper. He could count on her to be up at all hours of the night, while he slept soundly in their bed.

So even though she's not a brown belt as such, it may be fairly stated that Nancy does have a kind of power all her own. :)
